How The Cobe Fits

The COBE is designed with a relaxed, generous fit. It is built to be lived in — worn over a fleece, a hoodie, or a thick jumper — not to look tailored.

If you are between sizes and you plan to layer underneath, size up. If you wear it mainly as a standalone coat with lighter layers, take your usual size.

I'm Aisling. I'm 5'7", normally a size 12, and I wear a Medium. I can fit a chunky fleece underneath and still move freely. That's exactly how it's meant to feel.

What exactly is a Cobe?

A 3-in-1 hero: fully waterproof raincoat (10 000 mm), puffer-level warmth thanks to sherpa lining, and a discreet changing robe for sea dips or pitch-side kit swaps.

Is it lightweight?

Yes - about the same weight as a quality puffer. The sherpa gives warmth but the overall coat is slimmer and more breathable than traditional changing robes that are cut more like a blanket than a coat.

Is it breathable?

Absolutely. The recycled outer shell is waterproof and breathable (5,000 g/m²/24 h), so you stay cosy, not clammy.

Can I change inside it?

You can. The relaxed cut, two-way zip and generous length let you wriggle in or out of swimwear without unwanted flashes. To change inside, you will need to size up.

What makes it different from a Dryrobe-style changing robe?

Designed as a stylish raincoat - no sleeping-bag vibe - but with the exact functionality of a dry robe. Sherpa-lined from hood to hem for puffer warmth. Lighter, less bulky, easier to wear all day (school run → café). Peaked hood, hand-warmer pockets, internal phone pocket = everyday practicality.

How do I find the perfect size?

Open the Size & Fit tab on the product page. Measure your favourite coat and compare. We size first by height then by normal dress size. Between sizes? Go down for a neat look, up for roomy changing space. Junior XS fits older kids and petite adults.

Is it really unisex?

Yes - straight, relaxed silhouette and neutral colours. Families often share one Cobe between partners.

Does it pack down?

Folds into its own hood or under a buggy seat - much easier than juggling three separate coats.

How do I wash it?

Wipe mud with a damp cloth. When needed: 30 °C gentle cycle, non-bio detergent, no fabric softener. Hang-dry or tumble cool 10 min to fluff sherpa.

Is it giftable? Do you supply gift boxes?
