• The Second Life Edit is our way of honouring the time, craft and materials that go into every piece we make at Wild & Free – and of keeping more garments out in the world, being worn, loved, and lived in.

  • The Second Life Edit will open for a limited time, a few times a year, and brings together one-off and small-batch pieces that don’t quite fit into our main collections, but each is an important part of the Wild & Free story. Some have been worn on shoots, some are early samples, some are older specifications, and some are simply ‘perfectly imperfect’.

  • Each piece is individually listed, thoughtfully priced, and transparently described, so you know exactly what you’re choosing – and why.

At Wild & Free, we believe beautiful things deserve a long life.

Buying from the Second Life Edit is a beautifully conscious choice: one rooted in sustainability, circularity, and a shared belief that well-made things should be passed on, worn with love, not wasted

FAQs

What is The Second Life Edit?

The Second Life Edit is a limited-time collection of Wild & Free pieces that don’t sit within our main collections but are too beautiful – and too well made – not to be worn.

It includes photoshoot pieces, design samples, older specifications and items with small, honest imperfections. Each piece is thoughtfully assessed, clearly described and offered as part of our commitment to circularity and conscious consumption.

Why are you doing this?

Because we believe clothing is made to be worn, not stored.

Over time, some Wild & Free pieces sit quietly in our studio – worn once, never worn, or held back as we evolve designs. The Second Life Edit allows these garments to find their way into real lives, real weather and real adventures, while also creating space for new ideas, new stock and the next chapter of the brand.

It’s better for the planet, healthier for the business, and more aligned with our values.

How often does The Second Life Edit open?

The Second Life Edit will open for a limited window a few times a year.

Once it closes, the remaining pieces are removed from the site and the edit rests until the next release.

What condition are the items in?

Each piece is individually assessed and listed honestly.

  • Photoshoot pieces show light wear from brief use
  • Samples may differ slightly from final production
  • Older spec items are brand new and unworn
  • Perfectly Imperfect pieces have small, clearly stated flaws

For sections 1, 2 and 4, each item is photographed individually and any imperfections are highlighted in the product description.

Are items new?

Some are new, some are gently worn, and some are early samples.

Condition is always clearly stated on the individual product page. If something is not perfect, we will tell you.

Can I return or exchange items?

  • All photoshoot, sample and perfectly imperfect pieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • New End of Line (Section 1) pieces
Size exchanges are permitted, subject to availability. Delivery costs apply.

Please read product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

How does delivery work?

Standard delivery rates apply on orders under £100.

Orders over £100 qualify for free delivery.

Will these pieces be restocked?

No. Each item is a one-off or limited quantity.

Once it’s gone, it’s gone, so don’t delay.

Is this part of your sustainability approach?

Yes – in a very real way.

The Second Life Edit is about extending product life, reducing waste, and making thoughtful use of what already exists. It’s not about perfection; it’s about responsibility, transparency and passing on and wearing things well.
