Wild & Free was founded by husband and wife team Aisling & Robbie Bremner. Thats us and our 3 children, Paddy, Katie & Jack, above.

Hi, my name is Aisling. I'm the founder of Wild & Free, creators of the COBE coat.

Like many during lockdown, I felt stuck in a corporate job and needed to reconnect with the outdoors. As a mum of three from Northern Ireland, I wanted to spend more time outside with my family, supporting our mental and physical health.

I noticed everyone wearing these oversized changing robes for sea swimming. People kept telling me, "You NEED one of these, they feel amazing!" But I couldn't see myself in one - they were bulky, heavily branded, and not something I could justify wearing day-to-day.

Then I realised something interesting - most people weren't even changing in these 'changing robes.' They were just wearing them for warmth. 

I thought, what if I could create something better? A coat that looks beautiful enough to wear every day, but functions like a swim robe when you need it? Something as luxurious as a designer coat but at a more accessible price.

The COBE is fully waterproof with a 10,000mm rating, but still breathable. It's lined from hood to hem with soft sherpa fleece for incredible warmth. We added a peaked hood to keep rain off your face, multiple pockets so you don't need a handbag, and designed it in timeless colors that elevate your everyday style.

From the school run to the sideline, from the city to the coast - our customers tell us it's the coat they never want to take off. It's designed for real, everyday life while being sustainable with recycled materials.
