Wild & Free COBE Reviews: Is It Worth It? 650+ Five-Star Ratings
I created and designed the COBE, so take what I say about it with a pinch of salt (although i do wear it most days!). What I can't argue with is 650-plus women who've rated it five stars and told us, in their own words, what it's actually like to live in — a 4.9 average that's mostly five-star, not a curated highlight reel, these are all verified independent reviews from customers who love it so much they want to leave a review!.
I do a happy dance with every review and read through every one. Heres what keeps coming up, organised by the moments our Wild Tribe actually wear the COBE.
The early dog walk
"Went for wet windy dog walk on the heath here in Dorset, kept me dry and hood stayed up under pressure of wind. Perfect length with my boots for dog walking, next on Studland beach in winter." — Heather P.
This is the one I hear most, because it's the one I live myself. Cold, dark, dog pulling on the lead, no time to think about layers.
Standing still on the sideline

Standing still in the cold and rain for ninety minutes is a different problem to walking through it — you get colder, faster, with no movement to keep you warm.
The school run, whatever the weather

One honest thing worth knowing before you buy
The COBE isn't a fitted raincoat. It's designed generously — room to layer underneath, room to move. Our reviews are honest about this too:
"The small was just too big for me so I've given it to my daughter, who is delighted. I will probably order an XS for myself." — Elizabeth B.
If you're between sizes, go with your usual size, or size up if in doubt — not down.
Why it keeps a 4.9 average
Reviews aren't obligated to be kind. Six hundred and fifty women didn't need to leave one. The honest read is that people leave a review for the COBE because it solved a problem they have had or something their life has been missing for years — not because we asked nicely.
